Bags Best Project Award

Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of ECE, GSSSIETW, Mysuru, has bagged the Best Project Award in the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) Student Project Programme for the academic year 2019-20. 

The award-winning M.Tech (Digital Communication & Networking) project titled “Speech Recognition Using Robotic Vehicle with Regional Language” was carried out by M. Pooja under the guidance of Dr. S. Padmashree, Professor, Department of ECE. 

Speaking on the achievement, Dr. M. Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW, said that M.Tech (DCN) offers quality technical education to enrich technical knowledge in Digital Communication and Networking since its inception in 2013. Wide industry exposure has been provided and opportunities have been created for students to carry out internship and real time projects in reputed industries and government organisations. 

M.Tech student Ayisha Tabassum, who is currently placed as Applied R&D Engineer in Nokia Solutions and Networks, Bengaluru, opined that the efforts of the college in connecting campus to industries has helped her achieve the dream of getting full time internship and the subsequent job in a networking industry. 

Dr. Rajendra R. Patil, Professor and Head, Department of ECE, said that M.Tech students are provided with state-of-the-art laboratories including Wireless Communication lab with latest licensed software for carrying out quality projects.
