Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru’s Anupama Rao was honoured with the Woman Achiever Award-2021 by ACP Kavitha Kariappa, Traffic- Bangalore East, in recognition of her achievement in the field of Classical Dance, on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Bengaluru recently.
The programme was organised by Smriti Sadhana, a social service organisation in Bengaluru.
Anupama Rao is a student of Badari Divya Bhushan and Dr. Anjana Bhushan of Bhushan’s Academy of Performing Arts and Visual Presentation in Mysuru.
She has been an active performer in Bharatanatyam for the past seven years and has given more than a hundred performances in the country so far.
Anupama is also the recipient of titles such as Mrs. India Karnataka Best Classical Dancer 2019 and Mrs. India Karnataka Mysore Most Talented 2019.
She has recently appeared for the Natya Visharade Poorna Exams-2021 conducted by the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai.
