U.M. Gurushanthappa adjudged Best State Chairman
Mysore/Mysuru: Builders Association of India (BAI), Mysore Centre, has been adjudged as the Best Centre amongst more than 170 Centres across India and U.M. Gurushanthappa has been declared as the Best State Chairman for 2020-21.
The awards were given in the recently held Annual BAI National Convention held in Mahabalipuram at Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay.
State Chairman 2020-21 U.M. Gurushanthappa, State Secretary 2020-21 N. Subramanya, BAI Mysore Chairman 2020-21 M.Rathnaraj, Hon Secretary 2020-21 V. Nagaraj Bairy and other office-bearers were present while receiving the awards.
BAI Mysore during 2020-21 in spite of very challenging situation due to covid pandemic had conducted several activities which helped the construction fraternity, construction workers and public at large. Distribution of food and health kits to stranded labours during lockdown, allowing its premises to City Corporation for covid tests, donating a PSA Oxygen producing plant worth Rs. 25 lakh to Seth Mohandas Tulsidas Hospital in association with Mysore Builders Charitable Trust and CREDAI Mysore, Adopting and maintaining a park, tree plantation programmes, World Environment Month Celebrations apart from conducting many other activities along with its Flagship events BuildTech and MyBuild online exhibition.
BAI in Karnataka State during 2020-21 witnessed progress with new chapters opened at Chikamagalur and Mandya, a new centre of Spoorthi the ladies wing of BAI opened in Hassan, for the first time a mega construction expo held in Hassan and construction related grievances were addressed across the State with Gurushanthappa as BAI Karnataka State Chairman and N. Subramanya as BAI State Secretary during 2020-21.
