BAI presents Pratibha Puraskar

Mysore/Mysuru: Builders’ Association of India (BAI), Mysuru Centre, in association with Mysore Builders Charitable Trust (MBCT), had organised a programme at MBCT Auditorium in city recently to felicitate 28 meritorious children of the construction workers who scored more than 80% of marks in SSLC and 2nd PUC exams 2025.

On the same day, the valedictory of World Environment Month Celebrations (WEMC) was also held.

The programme commenced with invocation by BAI Member S. Umesh. V. Srinath, Chairman, BAI, Mysuru Centre, congratulated the all the meritorious children of construction workers and spoke elaborately about the tradition of felicitation by BAI to all of them. Further he gave a brief report about the activities of BAI and welcomed the dignitaries along with the gathering.

WEMC Organising Committee Chairman K.R. Prabhakara Rao briefed about the celebrations and thanked WEMC Organising Committee Secretary M.D. Praveen Pal, Coordinators and all sponsors for the successful completion of  the celebrations.

K. Subramanya Rao, Hon. Secretary of MBCT, Mysuru, was the guest of honour. He requested the students to utilise the benefits provided to them and a special mention was made appreciating the efforts of the BAI Mysuru Centre in conducting many programmes to the students.

‘Spoorthi’ (the Ladies Wing of BAI Mysuru) President Kavitha Gururaj briefed about Spoorthi activities and encouraged the children to study well and score more marks in future to achieve their aim and announced special cash prize from ‘Spoorthi’ for first 3 topper girl students each in SSLC and 2nd PUC exams.

BAI Hon. Treasurer S. Vasudevan and BAI Joint Secretary S. Shashiraj read the citation of the 28 deserving children of the construction workers who have scored more than 80% of marks in SSLC and 2nd PUC.

The chief guest felicitated all the students with certificate, mementoes, note books, pens and cash prize. Spoorthi President Kavitha Gururaj announced special cash prize for 6 topper girl students in memory of late Madhavi Gurushanthappa, Past President of ‘Spoorthi.’

Naganandhini, wife of late J.V.R. Naidhruva, contributed cash prize in memory of J.V.R. Naidhruva for first 2 topper boy students & S.R. Swamy, former State Chairman, BAI  Karnataka, contributed cash prize for second 2 topper boy students. Mr. & Mrs. Ramprasad contributed the books called ‘Life Skill Development’ to all the students. K.R. Yoganarasimhan sponsored the bags to all students.

The chief guest, Dr. B.T. Kavitha, Superintendent of Police (SP), Chamarajanagar, spoke on how to gain and improve the knowledge. C.D. Krishna, Hon. Secretary, BAI, Mysuru, proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was compered by V. Gurudatt, EC Member, BAI Mysuru.
