BAI presents Pratibha Puraskar

Mysuru: Builders’ Association of India (BAI), Mysore Centre, in association with Mysore Builders Charitable Trust (MBCT), had organised a programme to felicitate meritorious children of the construction workers who scored more than 70% of marks in the recently concluded SSLC and 2nd PUC exams at MBCT Auditorium in city recently.

The programme commenced with the invocation by Mahadeva, whose rendition was melodious. K. Subramanya Rao, Chairman, BAI, Mysore Centre, gave a brief report about the activities of BAI and welcomed the gathering.

Chief guest Dr. H.J. Surendra, Associate Professor, Dept. of Civil Engineering, Atria IT, Bengaluru, spoke about the felicitation programme.

Guest of honour A.V. Sridhar, Hon. Secretary, MBCT, Mysore, was present on the occasion.

Santosh Mirle and C.U. Diwakar read the citation of the 23 deserving children of the construction workers who have scored more than 70 % of marks:

SSLC: N. Harshitha – 93.12%, V.M. Sangeetha – 90.24%, Y. Pavan – 90.24%, A. Darshan – 88%, A.S. Vedashree – 87.84%, C. Rekha – 87.04%, S. Nayana – 82.72%, S. Abhishek – 82.56%, C. Raksha – 80.8%, S. Manoj – 79.52%, S. Seema – 77.6%, Divya – 77.28%, R. Archana – 74.56%, S. Mahendra – 72.8%, D. Sowjanya – 71.84%.

2nd PUC: J. Chaithra Kumari – 93.16%, R. Rashmi – 85.66%, S. Ambika – 78.5%, Pavan Kumar – 91.33%, S. Chaithanya – 74.83%, N. Rajeshwari – 88.66%, T.S. Shashidhara – 86.33%, K. Drakshayini – 74.83%.

The chief guest felicitated all the students and mementoes and cash prize were given away to the students. A few students expressed their views and opinions about the BAI and their Schools.

Spoorthi (Ladies Wing of BAI Mysuru Centre) President Shwetha Dinesh distributed cash prize from ‘Saheli’ for two topper girls.

K. Ajit Narayana, Hon. Secretary, BAI, Mysore Centre, proposed a vote of thanks and appreciated the effort of the coordinators N.S. Anand, C.U. Divakar, Santhosh Mirle, Revani Prasad and Mohan Kunte. The programme was compered by Shylaja Santhosh Mirle, Member of Spoorthi.
