Mysuru lad IM Girish A. Koushik (Rating 2437), taking part in Bangalore Open 3 – FIDE Rating Chess Tourney held at Silicon City Academy of Secondary Education, Konakunte, Bengaluru, from Apr.17 to 21, won the title by securing 9.5 points from ten rounds.
IM M. Chakravarthi Reddy and FM Niranjan Navalgund tied with 8.5 points respectively, but on their better progressive tie-break scores the former finished runner-up and the latter secured the third place.
Mysuru’s Prasiddhi Bhat secured 6.5 points from ten rounds (56th place) and A.N. Shefali (Mandya) secured 6 points and finished 96th in the final rankings.
