Mysuru: The two-day Bank strike called by Bank Unions on Mar. 24 and 25 has been deferred. In a press release, UFBU Mysuru Unit Convenor Premkumar, SBI Officers Union Divisional Secretary Kalyan Kumar, Mysuru District Bank Employees Association acting convenor Padmanabha Nayak and Canara Bank Officers Association Divisional Secretaries Murali and Chetankumar, said that a conciliatory meeting was held on Friday in which Officers from Indian Bank Association and Financial Service Institutions took part along with Joint Secretary of DFS in virtual attendance.
The demands included a 5-day work week, appointments and PLI issues, among others. It was decided to hold the next round of talks in the third week of April. Following this positive development, the strike has been deferred by one or two months.
