Bannimantap Grounds entry gate damaged

Sir,

I request the authorities to immediately secure and repair the damaged gate and prevent unauthorised vehicular entry into the Bannimantap Grounds (the Torchlight Parade Grounds).

Bannimantap Grounds is an important public space and its premises need to be protected from such acts of vandalism and unauthorised use.

The gate should be restored to its original condition and properly secured so that the grounds are not gradually opened up for unrestricted vehicular movement.

I also request them to inspect the premises, ascertain how the gate was damaged (see pics) and take appropriate action against those responsible for damaging government property.

The Bannimantap Grounds and its surroundings must be preserved as a safe, peaceful and well-maintained public space for the people of Mysuru, rather than allowing unauthorised access to compromise the character and security of the premises.
