Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) and Mysuru Kannada Vedike, Mysuru, have jointly organised a programme to felicitate writer and columnist Bannur K. Raju on his 60th birthday celebrations at Pathrakartara Bhavan on Tyagaraja Road here tomorrow (Apr. 19) at 11.30 am.

Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and Sri Yoganarasimhaswamy Temple Founder Prof. Bhashyam Swamiji will grace the occasion. Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. K. Mahadev will inaugurate the programme. MDJA President S.T. Ravikumar (RK) will preside. Littérateur D.N. Krishnamurthy, retired Principal and littérateur Kadnuru Shivegowda and Mysuru Kannada Vedike President S. Balakrishna will be the chief guests.

Artiste and writer Dr. Jamunarani Mirle, singer Revanna, Nalabeedi Ravi of Mysuru Kannada Vedike, Hiranmayi Pratishtana – Mysuru President A. Sangappa, Kaveri Balaga President N.K. Kaveriyamma and retired Engineer Manuganahalli S. Govindegowda will be the special invitees, according to a press release.
