Banu Prakash (49) passed away at his Vidyaranyapuram residence following a cardiac arrest, yesterday.

He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon, according to sources. Banu Prakash, a local BJP leader, earlier worked as Mysuru City BJP media in-charge.
