Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Basavabhushana and Kayaka Dampathi Awards were given away by city-based Sri Basaveshwara Samskrutika Prathishtana at a programme  organised at Patrakarthara Bhavan here on Monday. Sri Basavabhushana  award recipients are: Malangi Suresh (Education), Dr. K. Leela Prakash (Literature), Dr. C. Sharath Kumar (Medical), Supreeth (Cinema), Yashaswini Somashekar (Industry), Yoganarasimha (Religious) and P.G. Muthanna (Health). Couple-Corporator Shobha Sunil and Sunil, a former Corporator, was conferred Kayaka Dampathi Award.

Spiritual scholar Sri Nandeeshwara Shivacharya Swamiji graced the occasion. Social worker Dr. K. Raghuram, District Sharana Sahitya Parishat President M. Chandrashekar, Lingayat Gowda Mahasabha State President Alanahalli Puttaswamy, Prathishtana President Basavarajendra Swamiji and others were present.
