Mysuru: “Today’s youths are technically sharp but they have to become smart just like the smart phones they use,” said Dr. Vivek. A. Saoji, Vice-Chancellor, KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (AHER), Belagavi.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Student Dental Conference-2019, organised by JSS Dental College and Hospital’s Dental Education Unit at its premises in Bannimantap here yesterday and said that inspiration for anyone was very important but more so for the dental students. Also added to this is the skill, as a dentist has to depend a lot on skill, which can be acquired only by constant practice. Patients when they come to dentists must gain the confidence and remember him or her for good treatment, he said.
JSS AHER Vice-Chancellor Dr. H. Basavana Gowdappa, Registrar Dr. B. Manjunatha, IQAC (Internal Quality Assessment Cell) Coordinator Dr. Prashanth M. Vishwanth, Organising Chairman Dr. S. Ravi, Convenor Dr. Sunila B. Sangappa and others were present.
Nearly 200 dental students participated in the conference with the theme “Crafting Competence in Dental Culture.”
