Belavatha Mystery Fire: Another injured succumbs after 11 months

Mysuru: Another person who was injured in the mystery fire at Shyadanahalli in Belavatha, in April 2017 has succumbed to injuries after 11 months of the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Manjunath (32), a resident of Manjunathapura. Manjunath, in the month of April, 2017, had gone to the place where the mystery fire was spotted in Shyadanahalli to attend nature’s call and had sustained burn injuries.

He was admitted to a hospital in city for treatment and was discharged a couple of days later and had returned home. But the burn injuries had failed to heal and he succumbed to the injuries on Feb.9, 2018.

It may be recalled that Harshal, a student, who had suffered severe burn injuries in the incident, along with his fried Hemanth, in April 2017, died the next day, while Hemanth, who too had suffered burn injuries was treated at K.R. Hospital.

While Metagalli Police, who had registered a case in this regard, had undertaken investigations, Chairman of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board Lakshman, had visited the spot and had conducted an inspection.
