Belavatha Mystery Fire: Villagers demand fresh report

Mysuru: Taking umbrage at the report submitted by the ten-member Committee headed by Jai Prakash, Vice President of Academy of Certified Hazardous Material Manager, India Chapter, the villagers of Shyadanahalli urged the DC Randeep not to consider the report, terming it unscientific.

Addressing a press conference, here on Wednesday, the Dalit Sangarsh Samiti district convenor Belavatta Ramachandra, said that the report stated the mystery fire that took the life of Harshal is not due to chemical reaction but a man-made bush fire, which is far from truth.

He alleged that the team has given false interim report favouring factory persons and hence the team should be kept under suspension. “If not we will stage an indefinite strike from next week,” he said.
