Mysuru/Mysore: Mathru Mandali Shishu Vikasa Kendra, commemorating its 25th anniversary, has organised ‘Belli Habba – 2020’ on Feb.10 at 11 am at the Kendra premises in Gokulam here.
Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, Mathru Mandali Vidya Samsthe President Vijayalakshmi Urs recalled that the Kendra was commenced exclusively for specially-abled children in 1995 with just 4 children which has swelled to 48 now.
She said that 10 children who studied at the Kendra have got jobs and added that a Vocational Centre and an Indoor Stadium were on cards.
She further said that the Silver Jubilee programme would be inaugurated by Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji.
MLA L. Nagendra and Department of Women and Child Development Deputy Director Padma would be the chief guests.
Vidya Samsthe Vice-President and theatre artiste Rameshwari Verma, Celebration Committee Chairperson Vani Prasad and others were present during the press meet.
