Bengaluru man cheats city trader of Rs. 8 lakh in the guise of supplying CR sheets

Mysore/Mysuru: A man from Bengaluru, promising to supply Cold Rolled (CR) steel sheets to a city trader after the trader paid him Rs. 8 lakh for the same, has cheated the trader and has not supplied the promised goods.

The city trader, who has been cheated is Parveez Khan, a resident of Gayathripuram, who owns a Hardware shop on K.T. Street in city.

The Bengaluru man, who allegedly cheated Parveez is Gopal Agarwal of GK ISPAT Private Limited on T. Mariyappa Road in Bengaluru.

Parveez, who had discussions with Gopal to supply 1,400 CR sheets, had transferred an advance amount of Rs. 8 lakh on Feb. 19 through RTGS. Though Parveez made numerous calls to Gopal asking him to supply the goods, began to give reasons and finally stopped receiving Parveez’s calls, according to the complaint lodged at Mandi Police Station on May 17. Mandi Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
