Bengaluru Open Wild Card Men’s Tennis Tourney: City’s Suraj, Prajwal Dev enter quarter-finals

Top-seed Suraj R. Prabodh and third-seed S.D. Prajwal Dev (both from Mysuru), entered the quarter-finals in the Men’s Singles event in the Bengaluru Open Wild Card Men’s Tennis Tourney at the KSLTA Courts by registering good wins over their respective rivals yesterday.

Top-seed Suraj Prabodh beat Vignesh Veerabadhran (TN) 4-6, 6-2, 6-0, while third-seed Prajwal Dev beat Vivek Gautham 6-3, 6-1 in the pre-quarter-finals. Suraj will meet Yugal Bansal while Prajwal Dev will take on Sahil Gaware (Mah) in the quarter-finals.

In the first round, Prajwal Dev had scored a good win over A. Rishab (AP) 6-1, 6-0. In the first round tie, Dalwinder Singh got the better of A. Manish of Mysuru 6-2, 6-4.

Another Mysuru boy Arnav Pathange beat Alok Aradhya 6-3,4-6, 6-4 to progress further.
