Bengaluru youth drowns in river at Muthathi

Halagur: A 27-year-old youth, who had come to Muthathi along with his friends on a trip, drowned in River Cauvery on Monday.

The deceased youth is D.B. Vishwas, a resident of Nayandahalli in Bengaluru.

Vishwas, along with five of his friends, had come to Muthathi, near Halagur in Malavalli, to have the darshan of Anjaneyaswamy.

Before the darshan, Vishwas ventured into the river and was drowned after getting caught in the whirlpool.

Halagur Police, who fished out the body, shifted it to a hospital, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members.
