Karnataka Science and Technology Academy (KSTA) had announced State Awards for Best Writers in the field of agriculture, science, technology and medicine. The awards were conferred to authors on Aug. 26. The following books had been selected for the year 2018-19: ‘Anuranana – Science Essays’ by Dr. T.S. Channesh (Science), ‘Artificial Intelligence – Hosa Tantrajnana, Hosa Avakashagalu’ by Dr. Udayashankar Puranik (Technology), ‘Professional Computer Saksharate’ by Prof. Mahadevaiah (Technology), ‘Mannu – Usiraduva Jeeva Vastu’ by C. Triveni (Agriculture), ‘Vaidya Vijnana’ by Dr. Ranjit Biranna Nayak (Medical Science) and ‘Sanjivini Part-2: Arogya Margadarshini (Medical Science)’ by Dr. Muralimohan Chuntaru, according to a release.
