Mysore/Mysuru: Anupama Rao (centre in pic.) of Mysuru, who represented South Asia at Mrs. Worldwide 2022 International Pageant in Singapore recently, was awarded the Runner-Up for Best Talent among the 37 performers from all over the world in the talent round held at Batam View Beach Resort in Indonesia.

She was recognised for her performance in Indian classical dance of Bharatanatyam and also performed at the main stage of the grand finale of Worldwide Pageant in Singapore.

Anupama Rao is a disciple of Acharya Badari Divya Bhushan and Anjana Bhushan of Bhushans’ Academy of Performing Arts & Visual Presentation in Mysuru. She has been learning dance from the past eight years and has completed the Natya Visharad Exams from Akhila Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalay Mandal, Mumbai, recently.

A mother of a 21-year-old daughter, Anupama Rao works for the State Bank of India (SBI).

With many awards to her credit, Anupama Rao is a resident of Kuvempunagar in Mysuru.
