Mysore Race Club (MRC) Limited is scheduled to start Betway Mysore (Monsoon) Races 2023 from tomorrow (Sept. 1). This would comprise 16 days of racing which will conclude on Oct. 29.

Stakemoney: The advertised stakemoney shall be to the tune of Rs. 6,81,05,000 including cups/ trophies for the season.

Sweepstake/ Classic Races: The Maharaja’s Cup and The Mysore Dasara Sprint Championship 2023 have been upgraded and will be run as Grade II races. The following are the important Classic/Sweepstakes Races: (for 3-year-old Indian Horses) The Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar Memorial Million 2023 – Sept. 1; The F.K. Irani Memorial Million 2023 – Sept. 15; The Karnataka Race Horse Owners’ Association Mysore 1000 Guineas 2023 (Grade III) – Sept. 22; The Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club Mysore 2000 Guineas 2023 (Grade III) – Oct. 6; The Mysore Dasara Sprint Championship 2023 (Grade II) – Oct. 13; The Mysore Race Club Anniversary Cup 2023 – Oct. 28; The Mysore Derby 2023 – Oct. 29; (for 4-year-old Indian Horses) The HH Sri Krishnaraja Wadiyar Memorial Trophy 2023 (Grade III) – Sept. 7; The Maharaja’s Cup 2023 (Grade II) – Sept. 29; The Governor’s Cup 2023 – Oct. 20.

Horses: Currently there are about 425 horses stabled at the MRC Limited and about 200 outstation horses are expected to participate in races.

Trainers: About 24 local Trainers and 30 outstation Trainers from other centres are expected to race their charges during the Season.

Jockeys: About 75 Jockeys including all the top riders in the Indian Racing circuit are expected to ride at Mysuru during the Season.

Totalisators: Adequate num-ber of Betting Terminals will be in operation with upgraded software.

Rate of Admission: The entrance charges for the public to witness the Betway Mysore (Monsoon) Races 2023 is fixed at Rs. 200 whereas for the off-course race days the entrance charges will be Rs. 100.
