Beware! Chain-snatchers on prowl atop Chamundi Hill

25 grams gold chain snatched from woman

Mysuru: With incidents of chain-snatchings being reported atop Chamundi Hill during Ashada Fridays, chain-snatchers are now targeting devotees and snatching chains during rush and in crowded places. Last Friday (July 14), chain-snatchers snatched a chain from a woman near Dasoha Bhavan atop the Hill. The woman, who lost her 25 grams gold chain, has been identified as Sakamma, a resident of Rammanahalli.

According to the complaint lodged by Sakamma with K.R. Police, she was walking near the Dasoha Bhavan after having the darshan of Goddess Chamundeshwari, when miscreants snatched her chain in the crowd.

K.R. Police are investigating.
