Bhagini Raaga Sourabha: A grand Karnatak vocal concert by Vidu. Aathreyee Krishnaa

Mysore/Mysuru: BSS Vidyodaya and Raaga Music Academy, in association with Samskara Bharathi, will present the next edition of Bhagini Raaga Sourabha, featuring a grand Karnatak vocal concert by Vidu. K. Aathreyee Krishnaa at BSS Vidyodaya in Krishnamurthypuram tomorrow (Nov. 15) at 6 pm.

Vidu. Aathreyee Krishnaa is one of the most promising young Karnatak vocalists of the region. Performing on stages since 2011, she began her musical journey under Vidu. Uma Udaya Shankari and Vid. Yathiraj Acharya and currently pursues advanced training under leading stalwarts Vid. R.K. Shriramkumar and Vidu. Amritha Murali, Chennai.

She has performed at several prestigious Sabhas and festivals such as Hampi Purandarotsava, Margazhi Sangeetha Seva, Sringeri Sharada Peetham programmes, Alva’s Nudisiri and many others. She has also performed at Rajghat, New Delhi, before the Prime Minister.

She has received numerous recognitions — Sangeetha Mudhra Award 2024, Raga Dhana Pallavi Award, Best Vocalist (Mani Krishnaswamy Academy), Sulochana R. Ballal Best Young Artiste Award, Karnataka Pratibha Ratna, Outstanding Young Talent Award (WCD, Udupi), Bala Pratibha (Ministry of Culture), Sangeet Yatra Winner (Shankara Channel), Best Kalpanaswaram Award (RR Sabha 2024) 

Accompanying her for the concert are Vidu. K. Mahathee on violin, Vid. Nandan Kashyap on mridanga and Vid. V.S. Ramesh on the morching.
