Bhagyalakshmi Iyengar (78), wife of late Scientist Dr.V.K.S. Iyengar and a resident of Kuvempunagar, passed away at her residence on Apr. 12, following heart attack.

A former State Badminton Champion, Bhagyalakshmi, after living for about 40 years in the US with her husband, relocated to Mysuru following her husband’s death and was living with her only sister Shatamani in Kuvempunagar.

Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill on Apr. 12 evening, according to family sources.
