Mysuru: Ganabharathi, Mysuru, has organised a Bharatanatyam programme by Vidu. Suma Rajesh and students from Bengaluru — Vidu. Dr. Aisiri Deepak, Vidu. Dr. Deepika Darshan, Vidu. Anwitha Ashok, Vidu. Vibha Dathatri and Ananya Kulkarni — at Veene Seshanna Bhavana, Adichunchanagiri Road, Kuvempunagar, on Mar. 21 at 6.30 pm.
Vidu. Suma Rajesh started training in Bharatanatyam at the age of eight under the tutelage of Guru Kannan Maarar and continued the learning process under Guru Ambale Rajeshwari of Hassan and Vidushi Dr. Kripa Phadke of Mysuru.
Suma received training in the finer nuances of the dance form under noted danseuse Karnataka Kalashree Guru B. Bhanumati. Now, she is undergoing training under Guru Nrithya Nipune Sheela Chandrasekhar; in natuvanga from noted Mridanga Vidwan N. Narayanaswamy and Sheela Chandrasekhar.

Suma has completed ‘Alankar’ grade exams conducted by Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya and was selected as Visesh Kala Yogita during Alankar exam and invited to perform in All India Dance Competition (Pratibhavan Pratiyogita) organised by Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Navi Mumbai, in Oct 2019, in which she secured second place. She is also a Graded Artiste of the Doordarshan.
Suma is a accredited examiner and valuator of the KSEE Board Bharatanatyam and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
