Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of G. Amrutha on June 17

Mysuru:  Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of G. Amrutha, disciple of Vidu. Kripa Phadke, has been organised at Jaganmohan Palace on June 17 at 6 pm, under the aegis of Nrityagiri Academy of Performing Arts and Research Centre, Mysuru.

Dr. Tulasi Ramachandra, Director, Nrityalaya School of Dance, Mysuru, will preside.

Artist Ganjifa Raghupathi Bhat and former Secretary of NIE S.K. Lakshminarayana (Babu) will  be the chief guests.

Profile: Daughter of N. Gururaj and Mallika, hailing from Moodabidri, Amrutha is a promising multi-talented young artiste. She started her artistic journey of dance under Vidu. Tejaswini and later coming to the abode of art at Nrityagiri Academy of Performing Arts and Research Centre to pursue her practice of dance under the guidance of Guru Vidu. Kripa Phadke.

She completed her primary and higher education in St. Mary’s School and PUC course in GSI College. At present, she is pursuing final year B.Sc in NIE here.

Amrutha has participated in several programmes like Mysuru Dasara, Janapada Jatre, Suttur Jatre, Nritya Saptaha, etc.

She has bagged many awards for her cultural achievements that include first prize in classical dance and classical singing competition conducted by Karnataka Education Board.

She has completed her Junior, Senior and Proficiency Grade of Bharatanatyam Examinations conducted by KSEEB. She has actively participated in successful presentations of Nrityagiri such as Vande Mataram, Karnataka Kala Deepthi, Madagada Kenchavva, Navadurga Vaibhava, Karala Bete etc.
