Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of Niveditha and Vachana on Dec.17

Mysuru: The Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of H.N. Niveditha and M.N. Vachana, disciples of Guru Vid. Sridhar Jain of Sri Nimishamba School of Dance has been organised at Jaganmohan Palace in city on Dec.17 at 5.30 pm.

H.N. Niveditha: Daughter of B.S. Vishalakshamma and H.K. Nagaraju of Hangala in Gundlupet of Chamarajanagar, Niveditha began her journey in the field of dance at a tender age of nine at Nanjangud. She then continued training under the guidance of Guru Vid. Sridhar Jain.

Having completed her Bharatanatyam exam in 2012, she has also cleared Junior and Senior exams with first class, conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board in the year 2017 and is preparing for Vidwat. She has won many medals and awards in primary and school level in sports and cultural activities.

An alumnus of Citizen School in Nanjangud, Teresian and GSSS in Mysuru, she is currently pursuing her final year degree in Commerce at JSS College for Science, Arts and Commerce, Ooty Road, Mysuru.

Niveditha has actively participated in various State, National and even International-level Dance competitions.

She has received several awards including Kuvempu Vishwa Kannada Ratna International Award during Vishwamanava Kuvempu Kala Utsava, 5th Vishwa Kannada Sammelana UK-2015 held at Rivermead Leisure Complex, London.

M.N. Vachana: Daughter of Muddaraju and M.L. Nagarathna, Vachana began her journey in the field of dance at the tender age of 4. Having trained under the guidance of Guru Vid. Sridhar Jain, in 2012 she passed her Junior exam and Senior exam in 2017 with First Class and is now preparing for Vidwat.

An alumnus of Teresian and Marimallappa’s School, she is currently studying in 1st PUC (PCMB) at Marimallappa’s College. She has excelled in other curricular activities like drawing, painting, singing (Classical Music), quiz, NCC. She has also completed all the levels of Hindi exams conducted by Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Chennai.

Vachana has given more than 250 performances and has won several awards including Kuvempu Vishwa Kannada Ratna International Award during Vishwamanava Kuvempu Kala Utsava, 5th Vishwa Kannada Sammelana UK-2015.
