Mysuru: The Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of Deeksha Ramesh, disciple of Vidu. Dr. Kripa Phadke, has been organised at Jaganmohan Palace in city on June 3 at 6 pm, under the aegis of Nrityagiri – Academy of Performing Arts & Research Centre, Mysuru.
She will be accompanied by Guru Dr. Kripa Phadke on natuvanga, Vidu. Rajeshwari Pandit on vocal, Vid. H.L. Shivashankaraswamy on mridanga, Vid. S. Rakesh on flute and Dasappa on morching. Dr. K.N. Bhaskar, Cardiologist, Bhaskar Heart Centre, Mysuru and Vidu. M. Pankaja Ramakrishnaiah, Director, Sarveshwara Nrutya Kala Mandira, Mysuru, will be the chief guests. K.V. Murthy, Industrialist and art patron, will preside.
Profile: Deeksha Ramesh, daughter of Vijayalakshmi, an entrepreneur and Ramesh, an employee of Automotive Axles, is a promising versatile artiste hailing from the cultural city of Mysuru.
Deeksha started dancing at the age of 8 under the guidance of Guru Vidu. Dr. Kripa Phadke. She has completed her senior grade exams and is currently preparing for Vidwat.
A meritorious student, she did her schooling in Demonstration Multipurpose School (DMS) and completed her 10th grade with 10 CGPA. She secured distinction with 94.6% in her PU at Chaitra PU College. This year she is completing her engineering (Industrial and Production) from SJCE.
Deeksha is also a dedicated disciple of the magical instrument, Veena. She started her Veena training from Guru Vidu. Sreelaxmi Hedthale and currently learning from Guru Vidu. Dr. S.V. Rukmini.
A multi-talented girl with keen interest in drawing and painting as well, Deeksha has won several awards and prizes in school and college competitions. She is proficient in debating, essay writing, orations and presentations.
