Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of R. Meghana on Mar.24

Mysuru:  Nadavidyalaya Academy of Music and Dance, Hebbal, Mysuru, in association with Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy, Bengaluru, has organised Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of R. Meghana, disciple of Guru Vidu. Mithra Naveen at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road in city on Mar.24 at 6 pm.

She will be accompanied by Guru Vidu. Mithra Naveen on natuvanga, Vid. Naveen M.S. Andagar on vocal, Vid. M.R. Rajesh on flute, Vid. M.J. Kiran on mridanga and Vid. M.R. Srikanth on violin.

Vijaya Murthy, Artistic Director, Nartana Shala, Mysuru, Dr. B.P. Murthy, President, Mysuru Yoga Okkuta and Chaitanya Yoga Kendra, Mysuru, Ashok N. Chalavadi, Registrar, Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy, Bengaluru and Mysuru Mahalingu, Lecturer, D. Banumaiah Commerce and Arts College and Sugama Sangeetha Artiste, Mysuru, will  be the guests of honour.

Profile: R. Meghana is the daughter of D. Saroja and Rangaswamy. Meghana started learning dance at the tender age of nine years and is being under the tutelage of Guru Vidu. Mithra Naveen since fourteen years. She has come out with flying colours in Junior, Senior and Pre-Vidwat Dance Exams conducted by KSEEB and is pursuing her Post-Vidwat Grade.

She has also completed her Senior Grade Karnatak vocal under the able guidance of Guru Vid. Naveen Andagar. Academically, Meghana holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce from University of Mysore.
