Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of Tanuja Hegde on Nov.11

Mysuru: Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of Tanuja I. Hegde, disciple of Dr. Kripa Phadke, has been organised at Jaganmohan Palace on Nov. 11 at 6 pm under the aegis of Nrityagiri Academy. She will be accompanied by Vidu. Dr. Kripa Phadke (natuvanga), Vidu. Rajeshwari Pandit (vocal), Vid. H.L. Shivashankaraswamy (mridanga), Rakesh Sudhir (flute) and Vid. Dasappa (morching).

Journalist Rajashekar Koti will be the guest of honour. District Kannada Sahitya Kalakoota President M. Chandrashekar and Hotelier Narayan V. Hegde will be the chief guests.

Profile

Tanuja, daughter of K. Ishwar Hegde and Kusuma Hegde, hails from Sirsi. At the age of seven, she was blessed to start her dance schooling under Natya Vidu. Dr. Kripa Phadke. She has completed her Junior and Senior Grade of Bharatanatyam Exam conducted by KSEEB and is preparing for Vidwat.

Her Primary and High School education has been completed in Ramakrishna Vidya Kendra and B.Sc from Yuvaraja’s College. Currently she is pursuing Master’s at Manasagangotri.

Tanuja has actively taken part in successful presentations of Nrityagiri, such as Vande Mataram, Madagada Kenchavva, Rajashri Nalvadi, Karalabete, Karnataka Kaladeepthi, Bhagavad Gita, etc. She has also participated in prestigious programmes like Mysuru Dasara, Janapada Jathre and has bagged many awards for her cultural achievements.
