November 17, 2024

Mysuru: Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology & Robotic Surgery (BHIO), popularly known as Bharath Cancer Hospital, has become the first healthcare facility in Mysuru to introduce the cutting-edge Davinci Robotic Surgical System, a revolutionary step in minimally invasive surgery. The advanced technology promises to significantly enhance surgical outcomes for patients requiring complex procedures.

Radiation and Medical Oncologist, Executive Chairman of HCG and Chairman of BHIO, Dr. B.S. Ajaikumar, who launched the new facility yesterday, expressed his pride in bringing the Davinci system to Mysuru, calling it a “game changer” in the field of robotic surgery. “We are confident that this will transform clinical outcomes for our patients, improving not only their surgical results but also their overall quality of life,” he said.

The Davinci system is designed to offer a range of benefits, including reduced pain, less blood loss, shorter hospital stays and minimal post-operative complications. By facilitating precision surgery, the technology enhances the recovery process, allowing patients to return to their daily lives more quickly.

Dr. Raxith Sringeri, Robotic Surgeon at the Institute, elaborating on the benefits of the Davinci technology, said: “This state-of-the-art facility will position Mysuru as a hub for advanced robotic surgery. Robotic surgery combines the precision of modern robotics with minimally invasive techniques, allowing for quicker recovery than traditional surgical methods.”

Dr. Vijay Kumar, Robotic Surgeon, said: “Our goal is to deliver world-class care and transform patient outcomes in Mysuru and surrounding area. The launch marks a significant milestone in Mysore’s healthcare landscape, promising a brighter, healthier future for the region.”
