Hassan: Even as the JD(S) is yet to announce its full list of candidates for the forthcoming Assembly polls, in an interesting development, Bhavani Revanna, wife of Holenarasipur MLA and former Minister H.D. Revanna, has publicly announced that she will contest as the party candidate from Hassan Assembly segment.

Speaking at the inauguration of newly built Annappaswamy Temple at Kakkehalli in Salagame hobli of Hassan taluk yesterday, Bhavani, who is a daughter-in-law of JD(S) Supremo and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, maintained that she was contesting the Assembly polls from Hassan seat due to pressure from party workers, who have resolved to extend their full support. She further claimed that JD(S) is likely to name her candidature from Hassan in a few days when the party announces its second list of candidates.
