‘Bhoomi puja’ for Mega Silk Cluster in Mysuru

Mysuru:  ‘Bhoomi Puja’ for the construction of  Rs. 50 crore Chamundeshwari Mega Silk Cluster with Central and State funds was performed by Tourism Minister S.R. Mahesh and MP Pratap Simha near Belavadi village in Mysuru taluk on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahesh opined that unemployment problem in the country cannot be solved by the Government alone but by the entrepreneurs also who can launch many industries. He said that the Silk Cluster would at least employ 400 people directly.

Pratap Simha said that the project could commence after a long delay as the allotment of land has been done now by the State government.

The Silk Cluster will come up on a 10-acre plot to accommodate over 24 silk processing industries, he said.
