Bike-lifter arrested

Two vehicles worth about Rs. 90,000 recovered

Mysuru: The Lashkar Police have arrested a youth who was found pushing a Hero Honda Passion Pro bike near the scrap yard (gujari) in a suspicious manner on May 19.

The cops, who took him into custody, interrogated him during which they came to know that the youth had stolen the bike in city. The arrested has been identified as 20-year-old Syed Suhail, a resident of Kalyanagiri here.

The accused is said to have confessed of lifting one Bajaj Pulsar and one Hero Honda Passion Pro bike using duplicate keys in Lashkar Police limits and based on the information provided by him, the Police have recovered both the bikes worth about Rs. 90,000 from him.

DCP Mahaninga B. Nandaganvi supervised Devaraja Sub-Division ACP Lingappa (In-Charge), Lashkar Inspector Santosh, Sub-Inspector Pooja Hattaraki, ASI N. Mahadevappa and staff Parashivamurthy, Siddaraju, Lokesh and Prateepa in the nabbing and recovery  operation.
