Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar birth anniversary celebrations, Jai Bheem Youths, 5th Cross, Gandhinagar, will take out a bike rally on the main thoroughfares of the city from its office at 7.30 am tomorrow.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Centre and SC & ST Special Unit, University of Mysore (UoM), has organised a special lecture on the topic  ‘Prastuta Sandarbha: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’ and felicitation to rank holders in Ph.D, Degree and PG courses tomorrow at the Centre in Manasagangothri at 10.30 am.

 UoM VC Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar will inaugurate. Karnataka State Backward Classes Commission former Chairman Dr. C.S. Dwarakanath will deliver the lecture. UoM Registrar Prof. R. Shivappa will preside. Registrar (Evaluation) Prof. A.P. Jnanaprakash will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Dalita Abhivrudhi Sangha and Ramabai Ambedkar Mahila Swa-Sahaya Sangha, will celebrate Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti  at the Sangha premises behind T. Subbanna Sarvajanika Hostel, 4th Cross, Vidyaranyapuram, at 5 pm. District Minister S.T. Somashekar will inaugurate. Karnataka State Safai Karmachari Commission former Chairman Narayana will preside, Journalist K. Deepak will be the main speaker.

Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions (SVEI) too has organised Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s 131st Jayantyotsava at Sarada Vilas Law College auditorium in Krishnamurthypuram on Apr. 14 at 10.30 am.  BIMS Professor Dr. D. Anand will be the chief guest. SVEI President Dr. B.M. Subraya will preside.
