Bike rally to commemorate ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysuru District Unit of Akhila Karnataka Ex-Servicemen’s Association along with Rotary Club of Heritage Mysore, have organised a bike rally to commemorate ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ in city on July 26.

The rally will commence after dignitaries garland the statue of Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa in Metropole Circle at 9 am. The rally will pass through City Railway Station Circle, Govt. Ayurveda Coillege and Hospital Circle, Irwin Road, Nehru Circle, Ashoka Road, Clock Tower, Hardinge Circle (Jayachamara Wadiyar Circle), Doddakere Maidan Road, Gun House Circle, Chamaraja Double Road, Ramaswamy Circle, Ekalavya Circle, Saraswathipuram Fire Brigade, New Kantharaj Urs Road, Apollo Hospital junction, Akshay Bhandar, Vijaya Bank Circle, Somani College Road, Chitrabhanu Road, Kuvempunagar Complex and will culminate at Chikkammanikethana Kalyana Mantap, where a stage programme will be held at 11 am.

Five ex-servicemen, who had participated in Kargil War, will be felicitated and brave women, mothers and wives of martyrs will be honoured.

Also, Tanushree Gowda, daughter of ex-serviceman Vikramraj, who has been selected as a pilot, will be felicitated.

Those willing to join the rally, should assemble near Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa Circle at 9 am and follow traffic rules during the bike rally.
