Bike rider injured while avoiding crater

Residents stage snap stir

Mysuru: Residents of Ramakrishnanagar resorted to a snap stir on the stretch of Vishwamanava Double Road connecting Ramakrishnanagar Circle and Ring Road here last evening urging the civic authorities to fill up the potholes and craters formed on the stretch of road, worsened further by the recent rains.

The agitation was triggered when a bike rider, in avoiding to get into a crater in front of Dena Bank on the said road, fell off from the vehicle and was badly injured in the head.

The residents alleged that such accidents continued to happen, thanks to the worst condition of road with MCC authorities not bothered about the issue.

As the arrival of Traffic Police was inordinately delayed, the traffic jam swelled.

The residents have urged MCC to immediately repair roads in Kuvempunagar, Saraswathipuram, Ramakrishnanagar and Sharadadevinagar.
