Bikers snatch mobile phone, purse in separate incidents

Mysuru: In separate incidents, miscreants have snatched a phone of a student and a purse of a woman in city.

In the first incident, Rejen Namgyal, a 2nd PU student at St. Philomena’s College and a native of Ladak, was walking towards her home and speaking over the phone near Subashnagar Park at about 2 pm on Saturday, when bike-borne miscreants, who came from behind snatched her mobile phone and sped away.

A case has been registered at N.R. Police Station in this regard.

In the second incident, bike-borne miscreants have snatched a purse of a woman in J.P. Nagar here on Saturday night. The woman, who lost her purse, has been identified as Leelavathi. Leelavathi, who had been to her friend’s house, was walking towards her home and when she came near the Police booth in J.P. Nagar at about 9 pm, bike borne miscreants, who came from behind, snatched her purse and sped away.

A case has been registered at Vidyaranyapuram Police Station in this regard.
