Mysore/Mysuru: The 115th birth anniversary Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram on Apr. 5 and 131st birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on Apr. 14 should be celebrated in a meaningful manner, said Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Bagadi Gautham.

He was addressing the preparatory meeting held recently at the DC’s office where it was discussed to hold both the celebrations at Kalamandira on the respective days.

As COVID guidelines are still in place, decision regarding holding the procession on both the Jayanthis will be taken only after taking Government’s guidelines, he added.

The meeting also discussed about inviting Justice Nagamohan Das, Prof. Aravinda Malagatti, Prof. Durgadas, Prof. Kalegowda Nagawara and Prof. Nataraj Huliyar as the main speakers. Social Welfare Department Joint Director Malathi and other leaders were present.
