Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Krishna Ganasabha, Mysuru, will celebrate the 105th birth anniversary of Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar on July 22 at 5.30 pm at Alwar Kala Bhavana, Sri Krishna Temple Complex, Gokulam III Stage.
Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt, will grace the occasion. Mayor Shivakumar will inaugurate the event. Corporator SBM Manju will be the guest of honour. B.S. Sridhararaj Urs, President, Sri Krishna Ganasabha, will preside.
The inauguration will be followed by a Vocal Music Concert by Vid. N.R. Prashanth accompanied by Vidu. Prithvi Bhaskar on violin, Vid. Tumkur Ravishankar on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Koushik on ghata.
Vidwan N.R. Prashanth is a versatile Karnatak musician. An Engineering Graduate in Instrumentation Technology from the University of Mysore, his flair and devotion to the art has brought out the musician in him.
He was a faculty at the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society, Singapore, for more than six years and has performed in well-known venues in India, United Kingdom, Australia and Malaysia.
Prashanth’s tutelage from R.K. Padmanabha and Neela Ramgopal have been a privilege to his musical journey. After a short span of training from Titte Krishna lyengar, Prashanth is now being trained by Prof. R. Visweswaran, a legend in Karnatak music.
