Birth centenary of late Socialist Prof. Madhu Dandavate in city tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Marking the birth centenary of late Socialist and former Union Minister Prof. Madhu Dandavate, a discussion on the topic ‘Free election – Capable Government’ will take place and a ‘Diagnostic Report’ with a narrative on ‘Voter is the real rights holder of Democracy’ will be released at a programme jointly organised by Bengaluru’s Samajawadi Vedike, New Delhi’s Socialist Organisation and Mysuru’s Rammanohar Lohia Trust at Kumar’s The White House Hotel near Highway Circle in Bannimantap at 10 am tomorrow (Feb. 14).

Senior writer Devanur Mahadeva will release the report while Political Analyst Sudhindra Kulkarni will deliver the keynote address. Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia University faculty Prof. D.K. Giri will deliver a talk on Prof. Madhu Dandavate. Socialist leader and former MLA B.R. Patil will preside. Veteran theatre personality Prasanna, former Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sabiha Bhumigowda, writer Prof. Kalegowda Nagawara, KRRS President Badagalapura Nagendra and Social activist Aneesh Pasha will be the chief guests. Former Karnataka Agriculture Price Commission Chairman T.N. Prakash Kammaradi will also deliver a talk.

The afternoon session will commence at 2 pm, during which a discussion on the topic ‘The possibilties and effects of a new political experiment in Karnataka’ will be held.

Writer Siddanagouda Patil will preside. Political Analyst Dr. A. Narayan and DSS leader Guruprasad Keragodu will speak.
