BITS Pilani Ph.D awardee

Mysore/Mysuru: Pujitha Ganapathi Chottemada of Mysuru was conferred Ph.D in Civil Engineering by BITS Pilani, Hyderabad, during the convocation held on Aug.3, 2025, for her thesis titled ‘Evaluations of mechanical, chemical and long-term characteristics of fiber-reinforced alkali activated concrete.’

Pujitha is the daughter of Chottemada Ganapathi (Ravi) and Anita (Chekkera), residents of  CFTRI Layout in Bogadi. She is the granddaughter of Chottemada late Muthanna & late Parvathi (Kattera) and Chekkera late Subbaiah & late Bhavani (Chovanda).

Pujitha did her schooling at CFTRI School, BE (Civil Engineering) from ATME College of Engineering and M.Tech. (Structural Engineering) from NIE, Mysuru.

She pursued her Ph.D on fellowship at BITS Pilani and worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at IIT, Tirupati, for a short stint. At present she is working as Assistant Professor.

She has also completed her Senior Grade Exam conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) in Karnatak Music (Vocal) with distinction.
