Mysuru: BJP State Secretary M. Rajendra has gifted a new building that he constructed near Ramaswamy Circle in city to the Party. The building, constructed at a cost of Rs. 6 crore, is located on Devapartheeva Road near Hotel Airlines.
The building has now been registered in the name of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the registration formalities were completed recently at the Office of Senior Sub-Registrar in Ramakrishnanagar. The documents were later handed over to BJP leaders.
The three-storey building is 3,600 square feet wide and henceforth, all party activities will be held there. The guddali puja for the building was performed two years ago in the presence of former Dy.CM K.S. Eshwarappa, MLA S.A. Ramdas and MP Pratap Simha.
Speaking after handing over the building, Rajendra said that it was a small gift to the party. “I am thankful that my gift has been accepted,” he said.
Ramdas said that Party President Amit Shah had launched a plan in 2016 where all district BJP offices had their own building. But in Mysuru, work on the new party office had started even before Shah’s plans, he added.
MP Pratap Simha, MLA L. Nagendra, BJP District President M. Shivanna, City President Dr. B.H. Manjunath, State BJP General Secretary Ravikumar, former MLC Thontadharya, leader H.V. Rajeev and others were present.
