Bengaluru: New BJP In-charge of Karnataka Harish Dwivedi will be on a 3-day visit to the State from Nov. 2. This will be his first visit to State after his appointment last month.
Announcing this to presspersons in Bengaluru yesterday, State BJP Chief B.Y. Vijayendra said Dwivedi will arrive in the Bengaluru on Nov.2 and will stay here till Nov.4.
During his stay, Dwivedi will hold discussions with the party’s office-bearers, the party’s Core Committee members, senior leaders and other functionaries. He will also undertake a tour of Kolar and Chitradurga districts to strengthen the party in these regions.
Maintaining that the party is sure to win 115 seats in the next Assembly polls according to a recent survey, Vijayendra alleged that the Congress Government lacked the will to hold local body polls, which are long overdue.
Charging the State Government of doing nothing for the welfare of farmers, who are deeply distressed by drought and crop loss, he alleged that the Congress Government had failed to strongly argue its case before Cauvery Water Authority and other tribunals in protecting the State’s interests.
