BJP leader Kautilya Raghu for law about site allotment

Mysuru: BJP leader and former KEA Chairman Kautilya R. Raghu has urged Chief Minister Siddharamaiah to announce ‘Manekattuvavarige Niveshana’ Act (sites only for those who build homes), just as D. Devaraj Urs enacted ‘Uluvavanige Bhoomi’ law (land for the tiller). He was addressing a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here this morning.

Expressing concern over dengue scare in the city, Raghu said that the wild growth and stagnant water in vacant sites had become breeding ground for mosquitoes, thus contributing to the spread of vector-borne diseases. He urged MUDA and the MCC to make a joint effort for reclaiming vacant sites after issuing final notice to the allottes.

Prajnavanta Nagarika Vedike President Jagadish, social activist Sridhar Murthy and KMPK President Vikram Iyengar were present at the press meet.
