BJP leader Renukacharya quits electoral politics

Davanagere: A day after he lost the Assembly polls from Honnali in Davanagere, BJP leader Renukacharya said that he was quitting from electoral politics.

Speaking to media here yesterday, Renukacharya who lost the Honnali seat to D.G. Shantanagouda of Congress, said he was deeply disappointed with the verdict. “I have decided to quit electoral politics. However, I will work for the candidate fielded by BJP in future polls”, he declared adding that the poll result was unexpected. After he got elected from Honnali in 2018, Renukacharya served as the Political Secretary of BJP CMs B.S. Yediyurappa and Basavaraj Bommai.
