Party to host massive convention of SC Communities in city on Jan. 8

Mysore/Mysuru: The BJP will hold its three-day National SC Morcha Executive Committee meeting in the city from Jan. 6 to 8, 2023.

Announcing this at a press meet here on Monday, BJP SC Morcha National President Lal Singh Arya said that preparations for the meet is underway.

Pointing out that a massive convention of SC Communities will be held in Mysuru at 2 pm on Jan.8, the last day of the meet, he said that lakhs of people from Mysuru region are expected to take part in this convention.

Lauding the State BJP Government for hiking reservation quota for SC&ST communities, he termed AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge as a weak leader who never questioned  anti-Ambedkar and anti-Dalit stance of the Congress party.  Noting that it was the BJP Government which developed 10 places that Dr.Ambedkar  had visited and also hiked the reservation quota for SC,STs, he complimented the welfare schemes launched by Bommai Government in the State.

Contending that the Congress did not make a Dalit as the Chief Minister though it had many community leaders such as Mallikarjun Kharge, B. Basavalingappa, N. Rachaiah, T.N. Narasimhamurthy, K.H. Muniyappa, Dr. G. Parameshwar and V. Sreenivasa Prasad, he said that the BJP has the credit of making Dalit leader Govind Karjol as a Deputy Chief Minister in the few years that it has been in power in the State.

State SC Morcha President and MLC Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, General Secretary Siddaraju, City BJP President T.S. Srivatsa, District BJP President Mangala Somashekar, former MLA G.N. Nanjundaswamy and party leader K.V. Krishnamurthy were present at the press meet.
