Mysuru: State BJP General Secretary an MLA Aravind Limbvali has said that the State BJP Executive meet has resolved to root out the Congress Government in the State and to install BJP Government for allround development of the State.
Aravind Limbavali was briefing presspersons at a private hostel after the conclusion of the first day’s proceedings of the two-day BJP State Executive meet here yesterday. Explaining the BJP’s plans for making the State Congress-free, Limbavali said the people of the State were put to shame as a survey by a Delhi-based independent agency said that Karnataka topped the list of most corrupt States.
Accusing the Congress Government of hijacking Central schemes, Limbavali alleged that the Congress was mired in corruption and indulged in looting the State’s wealth.
Alleging that the State Government had miserably failed in tackling drought, he said Chief Minister Siddharamaiah was doing nothing apart from holding a video-conference with DCs.
Questioning the apathy of District-in-Charge Ministers and officials, Limbavali said the administrative machinery had collapsed in the State, with the authorities doing little for addressing water and fodder issues.
Pointing out that the Executive Meet will pass a resolution on drought situation in the State, he said that a party delegation will tour the State starting from May 18 to assess the drought situation, the modalities of which will be finalised at the end of the meet.
He further said that several top BJP leaders including Yeddyurappa will tour the State for 15 days from June 1 as part of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya birth centenary celebrations. The tour will focus on expanding the party base from grass roots level, he added.
When questioned about the rift between Yeddyurappa and K.S. Eshwarappa, Limbavali admitting that there was some confusion in the party, said all the issues will be resolved at the meet.
When asked whether Eshwarappa will be given a chance to speak at the meet, Limbavali, feeling embarrassed, was about to leave the press meet when he was confronted by presspersons. Limbavali later returned to tell media persons that Eshwarappa will be taking part in the discussions on Sunday.
When his attention was drawn to the incident where some Eshwarappa’s supporters had raised slogans hailing him as the next CM, Limbavali asked the media not to publish such reports. His reaction irked mediapersons, when an embarrassed Limbavali said that the party workers who raised slogans will be suitably advised.
Corporator Nandeesh Preetam, local leaders Boregowda, Mahesh Raje Urs, Prabhakar Shinde and others were present.
