BJP ticket aspirants  for Ch’nagar LS seat

Mysuru:  In a display of unity among them, four BJP leaders have appealed the party high command to field anyone among them for the Chamarajanagar seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here this morning, District BJP President Kote M. Shivanna said that the party high command can chose anyone among them — former MLC C. Ramesh, former Kollegal MLA G.N. Nanjundaswamy, senior party leader S. Mahadevaiah and himself, for the Chamarajanagar (SC) seat in the forthcoming LS polls.

Maintaining that BJP has a good chance of winning Chamarajanagar (SC) seat this time, as people were fed up with Congress rule, Shivanna said the press meet has been organised as a show of unity and expressed the hope that one among them would get the party ticket.

Replying to a question on what would their stance be if the party chooses senior leader V. Sreenivasa Prasad, Shivanna said Prasad has often said that he would not contest elections.
