Mysore/Mysuru: On the occasion of former Minister C.H. Vijayashankar’s daughter’s marriage, a blood donation camp will be conducted by Bharatiya Samskruthika Vikasa Vedike in association with various private organisations in the city on Aug.31, said Vedike Patron Dr. S. Venkatesh. 

Addressing a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here on Wednesday he said, Vijayashankar’s second daughter Kanaka will tie the knot with Dr. Vinay on Aug.31 and Sept.1 at a ceremony to be held at Rajendra Kalamandira in city. 

Along with the marriage celebration, Vijayashankar wanted to conduct a service activity for the good of the people. Hence, a blood donation camp is organised on that day, said Venkatesh.

He further added that the blood donation camp will take place in the same venue (Rajendra Kalamandira) from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Lion Nagaraj V. Bairy will launch the blood donation camp organised in association with Lions Club of Bangalore Sandalwood Celebrities, Lions Blood Centre Jeevadhara, Shree Talakaveri Women’s Training Centre and Bhoomika Bhavaikya Balaga, he added. 

Another Vedike Patron Dr. Nalini Thammaiah, Lions Club of Gold’s Suresh, Founder President of Vedike Thagadur Gowrishankar and City President Krishna were present at the press meet.
